Citrus County Parks and Recreation, in partnership with Citrus County Mosquito Control, proudly hosts the 3rd Annual Jr. Naturalist Camp, scheduled for Tuesday, June 2 through Friday, June 5, 2026.This engaging, multi-day educational camp introduces youth to Florida’s unique natural environments and the plants and animals that depend on them.

Campers begin the week with Jr. Naturalist training, learning foundational skills such as observation, ecological concepts, and conservation ethics. Participants then embark on three experiential field trips that provide firsthand exposure to coastal, upland, and wetland ecosystems. These experiences help campers understand how natural systems function and why they are essential resources for both people and wildlife.

Parents/Guardians: If your camper needs any assistance or accommodations, please let us know in advance so we can help ensure a safe and successful camp experience.

Activities are subject to change, and camp sessions may be canceled if minimum participation requirements are not met.
