Citrus County Parks and Recreation, in partnership with the Florida Native Plant Society, invites families to celebrate one of Florida’s most important keystone species — the gopher tortoise!

🐢 Educational Presentation – Discover the role gopher tortoises play in Florida’s ecosystems.
🏡 Burrow Exploration – See a burrow up close and learn about the wildlife that depend on it.
🎨 Kids’ Crafts – Create fun gopher tortoise-themed crafts to take home.

Bring the family and enjoy a morning of learning, creativity, and nature appreciation!
