The 7th Seasonal Women's Fishing Workshop is a nationally recognized recreation program, honored with the 2026 National Association of Counties (NACo) Achievement Award for excellence and innovation in county government programming.

Designed to introduce and expand women's knowledge of recreational fishing, this hands-on educational workshop provides a welcoming and supportive environment where participants of all skill levels can build confidence while learning the fundamentals of freshwater and saltwater fishing.

Through partnerships with natural resource professionals, fishing organizations, conservation agencies, and community health advocates, participants will gain practical fishing skills while exploring Florida's diverse aquatic ecosystems, fish identification, responsible angling practices, boating safety, fishing regulations, conservation ethics, and environmental stewardship.
