Meet Hannah Willetts
Hannah is the Curator of Beverley Art Gallery where she oversees the exhibition programme and fine art collection. In 2024 she led the first full redisplay of Beverley Art Gallery’s collection in over a decade, focusing on reinterpreting narratives around women in the gallery’s history and collection. Previously, she worked at The Hepworth Wakefield, Glasgow Museums, East Dunbartonshire Museums and auction houses Sotheby’s, and Lyon & Turnbull, specialising in Fine and Decorative Art. Hannah has a particular interest in modernism, and experience in Collections Management with a strong focus on collections access.
Meet Gordon Meredith
Gordon trained at the Hull College of Art and Design as an exhibition, theatre and museum designer. He spent the next 25 years working throughout the UK and parts of Europe, becoming a specialist in museum design and interpretive planning, winning awards in gallery design and cultural landscape interpretation. He was offered his first professional acting role in 2010, and has since performed in many theatre productions, short films, feature films, educational videos and audio-visuals. He now combines his love of history and theatre to specialise in historical story-telling as a playwright and script writer. He works with museums and galleries, historic houses and churches to interpret their stories through performance, often using archives and oral testimony to bring real stories and real people to life through theatre, film and living history.
Hannah and Gordon will talk about their work and offer insights about working in the creative sector.
There will be time for attendees to ask questions and share your own creative ideas, projects and plans
