Brett Kull & Ray Weston of Echolyn, with special guests Katie Barbato & Ava Left
Brett Kull is a multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, producer, and engineer from the United States. He is best known for being a founding member of the band Echolyn, and a long-standing member of Grey Eye Glances. Brett is also an adjunct college instructor, sharing his love for audio engineering and sound design.
Brett has put together an all-star line-up for us of musicians, including his fellow bandmate Ray Weston from Echolyn, alt-folk singer Katie Barbato, and singer-songwriter Ava Left.
Echolyn’s musical style, progressive in the truest sense of the word, defies any one musical categorization, and yet all their albums have achieved critical acclaim from around the globe as they continue to release new music. Formed in the late 1980s when Brett Kull, Raymond Weston, and Paul Ramsey played in a cover band named Narcissus; however, in 1988 that band disbanded as the members tired of playing cover tunes. A year later Christopher Buzby joined Kull and Ramsey to form echolyn, making a conscious decision to focus entirely on original music.
Katie Barbato is an alternative folk singer-songwriter based in PA. She is a 3-time International Songwriting Contest finalist and a regularly featured artist on WXPN 88.5 FM. Katie has shared the stage with Lucy Wainwright Roche, Rise Twain, Darlingside, and Shawn Mullins.
Zoe Lemon
Zoe Lemon makes breathtaking music with violin, vocals, loops, and more. She wrote the introspective ‘Tailspin’ EP while vanlifing across the country in 2021, and it finds her reflecting on growth and change in a turbulent world.
Doogie Horner
Doogie Horner is a writer, illustrator, and comedian. Raised in Pennsylvania, he spent his early career designing book covers at Quirk Books, creating memorable covers for books like Pride and Prejudice and Zombies and Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children. While working at Quirk, Doogie entered the world of standup comedy. Where art requires long hours of isolation, Doogie found the immediate feedback of standup comedy exhilarating. After winning over a booing audience, he went on to become a semi-finalist on America’s Got Talent.
