As America marks its 250th anniversary, Echoes of Freedom shines a light on the untold stories of African Americans who helped shape the Lehigh Valley — and those who continue to shape it today.
This new 30-minute Lehigh Valley Public Media documentary blends archival footage, oral histories, and new interviews to explore the meaning of freedom, belonging, and community across generations. The project will debut as part of America 250 Lehigh Valley, with companion classroom resources and digital storytelling across PBS39, WLVR, and LehighValleyNews.com.
South Bethlehem comes alive the First Friday of every month in a community wide celebration that features art, live music, cultural experiences, and historical attractions.
