Known for its stunning views and immense beauty, the Tugela Falls, with a staggering total drop of 983 meters, is a must-see destination. This iconic hike, known as the Amphitheatre/Sentinel Peak Hike, will take you through one of South Africa’s most scenic landscapes, leading you to spend the night near the top of the falls, surrounded by awe-inspiring views.
This bucket-list hike will challenge you while rewarding you with the unforgettable experience of watching the sunset and sunrise over the majestic Drakensberg Escarpment—a view that stretches over 200 km and offers an elevation gain of up to 1,000 meters.

Important:
This hike is not suitable for beginners due to the elevation and altitude. You must be able to carry your own overnight backpack. We strongly recommend completing at least 3 training hikes with a full backpack prior to the event to ensure you're ready for this challenging trek.

Please note: The weather in the Drakensberg is highly unpredictable. The event will proceed rain or shine unless extreme conditions arise (extreme heat, cold, hail, or heavy rain). A little rain won’t hurt—plus, it keeps the bugs away!
