Saturday NIGHT LUAU
Usually, this is a weekend where many of us head to the beach. This year, we bring the beach to you! Not just any beach, but a beach party from the islands of HAWAII, TAHITI, NEW ZEALAND, AND OTHER POLYNESIAN COUNTRIES!On Saturday night, May 23rd, the tiki torches come alive, and the energy of the South Pacific takes over your living room with a virtual live POLYNESIAN LUAU! From delicacies to dancing to lessons and even a FIRE SHOW, this will be a unique and memorable Memorial Day beach extravaganza!FEATURING:A) HAWAIIN LUAU FOOD DEMONSTRATION: Begin the festivities tonight with an amazing Hawaiian/Luau cooking demonstration from a professional Hawaiian chef. From A to Z, she will walk you through the steps to create a phenomenal Hawaiian style meal traditionally prepared for any luau!B) MIXOLOGY BARTENDERLearn which tequilas and other drinks can be prepared and takes you straight to the heart of Maui, or to the beaches of Waikiki through taste and style! Interactive Hula lessons will follow.NEW ZEALAND: Next, we’ll feature a medley of live songs and dances from New Zealand. Including the Pa Mai and Nga Waka…both are traditional Maori favorites. Men will be taught and offered the chance to participate in the traditional Maori Haka War Cry Challenge (admittedly not present in a luau, but relative and enjoyable for a true New Zealand experience).SAMOAN FIRE KNIFE DANCE: Our performance will conclude with a live Samoan fire knife dance.
