- **Event Description**: Join the Gamer Symphony Orchestra at its Fall 2025 concert, taking place at Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School in Montgomery County!About this EventThe GSO's semesterly Large Ensemble concert includes student arrangements of pieces from Yakuza 0, Breath of the Wild, Black Myth Wukong, and many more, performed by a 145-member symphony orchestra and choir composed entirely of students at the University of Maryland! Join us on a foray into the incredible world of video game music!Our concert will be held in the auditorium of Bethesda Chevy Chase High School at 2PM and 7PM on December 14th. Anyone in the general public is encouraged to attend (including UMD and Montgomery Country students!), and concerts are and always will be free.If you are unable to attend the event in person, this concert will be streamed on our Twitch channel at https://www.twitch.tv/gamersymphonyumd/.We rely on donations to fund our concerts. Currently, we're planning on hosting next semester's performances in Strathmore Music Center! If you wish to support this project, please donate to our GoFundMe at https://www.gofundme.com/f/the-gso-at-umd-play-at-the-strathmore-music-center. (Direct donations will also be accepted after the event, in case fees are an issue.)If you're a UMD student without access to transportation, this venue can be reached by public transit through the following steps:Take the 104 (College Park Metro) bus to the College Park metro station.Take the Green Line of the Metro to Fort Totten.Take the Red Line to Bethesda (or alternatively, take the Red Line to Silver Spring and then take the M70 bus, whichever is faster based on Google Maps)Walk for ~5-10 min to get to Bethesda Chevy Chase HS(If you're facing transportation issues, please contact us, and we will try to figure something out! No guarantees, but we would hate for it to be an issue.)Disclaimers: While this activity is taking place at a high school that is part of the Montgomery County Public Schools school system, this activity is not sponsored by, associated with, or endorsed by Montgomery County Public Schools or Montgomery County Government.
