- **Event Description**: Come join us January 18th for a more intimate exploration of our new exhibit “Micrometeorites: Space Dust in Maine” with expert Jon Wallace and our Laboratory expert Al Falster. There will be three time slots for this event; 10am-11:30am, 12pm-1:30pm, and 1:30pm-3pm.

There are two parts to each session; 45 minutes with Jon, and 45 minutes with Al in the lab. In the first half of our program, we will take a deeper dive into how to search for and find micrometeorites, how to image them, how to ID them and answer some of your questions about these amazing objects. In the second half of the program, we will take a tour of the MGMM lab with resident expert Al Falster. During the tour, you will get to see the amazing instrumentation in the lab and learn about their use and value to research projects at the museum. 

Due to the more detailed information and limited session size of 10-15 people, registration is required for people ages 13 and above in each time slot. We hope you will take advantage of this rare opportunity to delve deep into our new exhibit and tour our amazing lab!
