Barnum Square.Check out the band: Isabelle Miner - Vocalist, Isabelle was born and raised in Bethel, CT, Isabelle found her footing as a singer and performer at the age of eight. She's gone on to train with some of Bethel's hometown musical favorites including Billy Michael, Cynthia McKorkindale and Erin Volpintesta. As a long time Jazz for Junior, she continued to hone her craft and went on to perform in New York City during her time in college. She returned to Hartford, CT where she sat in and collaborated with a variety of musicians. Isabelle has been growing her career as a photographer while constantly searching for outlets to sing and captivate audiences with her performance skills. Isabelle returned to Bethel for a couple years to start the band, Belle and the Boys, a trio including Billy Michael and Peter Strouse. Now a resident of Portland, Maine, she's been sitting in with a local band, Frenzie and will return to the CT area often to sit in with other bands in the jam scene. Isabelle enjoys a combination of soul and folk music while incorporating a number of power ballads into every performance.Bass - Doug Toussaint, Doug is a multi-instrumentalist born and raised in Bethel, CT currently teaching Music at Bethel Middle School and gigging at a variety of restaurants and venues across the state. He earned his Bachelors in Music Ed at WCSU where he studied Jazz Performance. He has extensive experience performing a variety of genres including Jazz, Rock, R&B and Contemporary.Guitar - Shane Peters, Guitarist, educator, and composer Shane Peters received his Bachelor's Degree in Jazz Guitar Performance from the conservatory at Western Connecticut State University [WCSU] in 2005, Music Education Certification in 2007 from WCSU, and his Master’s Degree in Jazz Guitar Performance from SUNY Purchase Conservatory in 2011. Since 2001, Shane has been an active performer, educator, and clinician in the tri-state as both a leader and in-demand sideman. Mr. Peters’ versatility as a musician and guitarist has led him to gigs at the Oakdale Theater, The Blue Note (NYC), The Falcon, Jazz at Lincoln Center, and international tours just to name a few. In addition to performances, Shane is a highly sought-after clinician and educator holding teaching positions for Ridgefield Public Schools and as an adjunct professor of Music Education at Western Connecticut State University.Keyboards - Keenan Asbridge, Keenan is a trumpet and piano player, composer and educator from Hartford, Connecticut. He received his Undergraduate Degree from Western Connecticut State University in Jazz Trumpet Performance in 2014, and Spring of 2023 received his Masters Degree in Jazz Composition from Umass Amherst. Keenan can be found playing with many different groups in varying styles, such as Hartford’s own funk/soul group Nikita. He also can be found leading his own group, which he composes most of the music for. Aside from performing, Keenan is an avid educator of varying instruments and styles.Drummer - Matt Spencer, Accomplished drummer, teacher, and lifelong student of music. Matt is well versed in several musical genres, including but not limited to jazz, rock, reggae, and world sounds. His eclectic taste is reflected in his studio work and live performances. Extensive knowledge of his craft enables him to offer a comprehensive range of services, including remote recordings, touring, studio work, and film/cinematic composition. Matt holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Jazz Studies from Western Connecticut State University and can be found playing with a wide and diverse group of artists.We're sorry, there are no refunds after tickets have been purchased. In the event of a pandemic, rain, snow, or other forms of weather which prohibit a performance, the performance date will be postponed and rescheduled for another date within a reasonable amount of time. If the new date is postponed, a future alternate date will be picked at the discretion of Bethel Jazz and the musical artist. The ticket holder will be notified of postponements, cancelations, and rescheduled dates via email. Tickets are non-refundable and may be transferred to another person in the event a purchaser can not make the rescheduled date. In the event, an artist cancels a date, and Bethel Jazz is unable to reschedule the artist, Bethel Jazz reserves the right to provide a substitute performer of equal quality without notice to the ticket purchaser. If a date is canceled and not rescheduled, Bethel Jazz will provide a refund (in some cases minus the Eventbrite fee) or credit for another performance at the choice of the ticket holder.
