Program for Students with a Disability Basics Training
Basics Training is aimed at school based staff who are unfamiliar or need a refresher with the Program for Students with Disabilities (PSD).
Content of the session will focus on creating an application to the PSD including eligibility criteria, required evidence and assessments, referral pathways for assessment and navigation of the program for students with disabilities management system (PSDMS). A range of inclusion resources and policies are also shared. Assessments Australia will be providing an overview of how their service works with schools to support successful referral and outcome.
The content is specifically aimed at school based staff who are new to the PSD coordinator role. This training is not DET Nominee training but is essential for someone intending to complete DET Nominee training in the future.
