Dear dance friends,
I warmly invite you to celebrate a special anniversary with me: On Sunday, March 22, 2026 at 18:30, my concert RIHLA – A Journey through Sound and Movement will take place at the BeJazz Club in Bern.
With Rihla, I celebrate 40 years in dance and 25 years in Oriental dance – a journey shaped by encounters, research, and stage poetry. Accompanied by live music on qanun, nay, and percussion, the evening weaves cultures together and invites you to listen, feel, and immerse yourself. In musical and choreographic impressions, cherished companions will appear in solos and duets before my own solo brings the threads of this journey together. Rihla becomes a celebration of artistic connection and a shared path that intertwines past and present.
I am also offering workshops with live music at ZEOT BERN:
• Friday, 20.03.26 – 18:30–20:30 – Drum Solo “Encuentros” with Fernando Depiaggi – CHF 100 In this workshop, dancers of intermediate level and above will learn a choreography I created to Fernando’s darbuka composition Encuentros. With the composer himself playing live, participants can refine rhythm, precision, and technical interpretation while experiencing the unique dialogue between dance and music.
• Saturday, 21.03.26 – 14:30–18:30 (incl. break) – Oum Kalthoum’s classic piece Ya Msaharni with Qanun, Nay & Percussion – 2 hours live music – CHF 220 In this workshop, I will teach a choreographic structure to Oum Kalthoum’s Ya Msaharni. Built on clear, simple steps, it invites dancers to develop their own expression and embody the music in a personal way. The format is open to different levels of experience – intermediate dancers can also benefit by using the structure as a foundation for their own interpretation. After learning the basics, the musicians join us for repetition, development, and moments of improvisation – an intense and vibrant dialogue between dance and sound.

ich lade euch herzlich ein, mit mir ein besonderes Jubiläum zu feiern: Am Sonntag, 22. März 2026 um 18:30 Uhr findet im BeJazz Club Bern mein Konzert RIHLA – Eine Reise durch Klang und Bewegung statt.�
Mit Rihla feiere ich 40 Jahre im Tanz und 25 Jahre im orientalischen Tanz – eine Reise voller Begegnungen, Forschung und Bühnenpoesie. Begleitet von Live-Musik mit Qanun, Nay und Perkussion entsteht ein Abend, der Kulturen verbindet und zum Lauschen und Mitfühlen einlädt. In musikalischen und choreografischen Impressionen treten geschätzte Weggefährtinnen in Soli und Duetten auf, bevor mein eigenes Solo die Fäden dieser Reise zusammenführt. So wird Rihla zu einer Feier künstlerischer Verbundenheit und einer gemeinsamen Reise, die Vergangenheit und Gegenwart miteinander verwebt.�
Zusätzlich biete ich Workshops mit Livemusik im ZEOT BERN an:

Mit dem Komponisten selbst live an der Trommel können Rhythmus, Präzision und technische Interpretation verfeinert und das besondere Zusammenspiel von Tanz und Musik unmittelbar erlebt werden.��
* Samstag, 21.03.26 – 14:30 bis 18:30 Uhr (inkl. Pause) Oum Kalthoum klassisches Stück Ya Msaharni mit Qanun, Nay & Perkussion – 2 Std. mit Livemusik CHF 220��In diesem Workshop vermittle ich eine choreografische Struktur zu Oum Kalthoums Ya Msaharni. Sie basiert auf klaren, einfachen Schritten und lädt dazu ein, eigene Ausdrucksformen zu entfalten und die Musik individuell zu verkörpern. Das Format ist offen für unterschiedliche Erfahrungsstufen – auch Tänzer*innen ab Mittelstufe können davon profitieren, indem sie die Struktur nutzen, um ihre persönliche Interpretation zu entwickeln. Nach der Erarbeitung der Grundlagen treten die Musiker hinzu: für Wiederholung, Weiterentwicklung und Momente der Improvisation – ein intensives, lebendiges Zusammenspiel von Tanz und Klang.�
