Come, sit on this cliff edge with me. There’s nowhere else to sit now…
'To Heal a Lyrebird' in the newest book from extraordinary local author and artist Kate Liston-Mills and to celebrate its launch, Navigate Arts is hosting a multidisciplinary afternoon of readings, art-making, installations, soundscapes, music and theatre.
This will be a celebration of a book that is a play, that is an artwork, as much as it is a poem, a manifesto, a call to arms, a flurry into fashion, and a musical performance that dances around the periphery of becoming James Joyce fan fiction.
‘To Heal a Lyrebird’ is a bold venture into the subconscious to produce art of hope and promise, proving that there is a better way forward through this war-torn, indifferent and climate changed world.
This is the blueprint.
Celebrate the Spring re-opening of Navigate Arts at the Old Tanja Church and immerse yourself in this powerfully playful afternoon of creative collaborations with artists Kate Liston-Mills, Bettina Kaiser, Matilda Gould, Josh Dubrau, Eva Mills, Nayara Piloni, Amy Grealy and Malachi Mills-Hindle, where the themes of the book will be explored in unique and unforgettable ways.
