Founded in 2023, TOUGH MOTHER is testing boundaries between harmony and disruption – between tensio and resolution. The ever-recognisable voice (Cemre) guides the audience through phases of distorted, raw bass riffs (Jakob) and spirited, high-powered drum sequences (Adrie). Disharmonies meet phases
of surprising rhythm changes: the consistency of the vocals takes us by the hand in moments of overwhelm and amazement, accompanying us through the melancholic currents of uncertainty and emotional tides. It is precisely this interplay that makes TOUGH MOTHER such a rousing live band, which, after only two single releases, has already opened for bands such as New Model Army and can look back on an 11-part debut tour in 2025. Their live repertoire speaks for itself, as does the energy they generate in the audience.

TOUGH MOTHER may have only just got together, but they have already established themselves as a permanent fixture on the punk rock, grunge and alt-rock scene. With their powerful dynamics, they not only take over the stage and the audience, but also turn the listening experience into a feeling à la rehearsal room-mosh pit.
