Über das New Yorker Quartett Pro-Pain muss man nicht mehr viele erklärende Worte verlieren. Seit ihrem bahnbrechenden Debütalbum Foul Taste Of Freedom, das Anfang der Neunziger für diverse Preise nominiert wurde, hat sich die Band um Sänger/Bassist Gary Meskil die Zuneigung und den Respekt unzähliger Fans in aller Welt erspielt und gilt heute zu Recht als wahre Hardcore Metal-Legende. Ihre sämtlichen Alben sind ein Ausbund an Intensität, Kompromisslosigkeit, Inspiration und Ehrlichkeit. Mit ihrer 15. Studioscheibe Voice Of Rebellion kehrt die Band nun zu typischen Stärken zurück. Das Album wurde von Corey Williams in den Sound Lounge Recordings in Venice (Florida) aufgenommen. Geschrieben hat Meskil die gesamte Musik und sämtliche Texte bei sich zuhause in Sarasota, Florida Schon immer waren Meskil & Co. das krasse Gegenteil so genannter Everybody`s Darlings. Seit ihrem 92er Debütalbum Foul Taste Of Freedom, dem nicht minder harschen The Truth Hurts (1994) und dem internationalen Durchbruch Contents Under Pressure (1996), mit dem es dieBand bis zum Headliner des unvergessenen Dynamo Open Air im niederländischen Eindhoven schaffte, suchen Pro-Pain immer wieder die offenen Konfrontation mit der saturierten Funktionärsriege. Chef Gary Meskil ist Idealist, musikalisch wie politisch, der auch mit weiteren rabiaten Veröffentlichungen wie Pro-Pain (1998), Act Of God (1999), Round 6 (2000), Fistful Of Hate (2004), Absolute Power (2010), Straight To The Dome (2012) oder The Final Revolution (2013) keinen Deut von seiner unbarmherzigen Haltung abgewichen ist. Ihre Qualitäten werden Pro-Pain in Kürze auch wieder auf der Bühne dokumentieren, denn es gibt bereits konkrete Tourpläne zu vermelden: Pro-Pain spielen im Sommer & Herbst eine umfangreiche Europa Tournee.
