Ordinary ist ein Tanztheaterstück von Atsushi Takahashi und Tomoya Kawamura.
Das Stück nimmt das Thema des „Alltäglichen; Ordinary“ in den Mittelpunkt und erforscht die Natur des täglichen Lebens sowie jene Momente, in denen diese scheinbar unerschütterliche Normalität plötzlich entzogen wird.
Es spannt einen Bogen über verschiedene historische und gegenwärtige Epochen – von den gesellschaftlichen Umbrüchen des Jahres 1933, über die Zerstörungen des Krieges und die Atombombenabwürfe auf Hiroshima, bis hin zum Tōhoku-Erdbeben und Tsunami 2011 (im Westen oft verkürzt als „Fukushima“ bezeichnet) und der heutigen Gesellschaft.
Durch eine Fusion von Tanz und Theater stellt Ordinary eine grundlegende Frage:�Welche Bedeutung hat das Gewöhnliche für uns alle?

Spanning different historical and contemporary periods—including the societal shifts of the year 1933, the devastation of war, the atomic bombing of Hiroshima, the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake and tsunami (often simplified as “Fukushima”), and today’s society—Through a fusion of dance and theater, it asks a profound question: What is the meaning of the ordinary to all of us?
