Hours: Pergamon Museum on 23 March at 11:00
Berlin Glas e.V. studio on 24 March from 11:00 – 14:00

It begins at the Pergamon Museum on the 23rd of March, and continues the next day at the Berlin Glas studio, where Silvia Aditi Levenson will teach a hands-on fusing glass workshop! You will be taught the wonderful art of kiln forming, with a special focus on patterns and geometry. Participants wil l investigate where certain motifs came from and how conflicting patterns actually come together to form an over-all aesthetic.

Please wear comfortable shoes and clothes!

*Silvia Levenson was born in Buenos Aires, and during the “disappearances” of the Dirty War, she immigrated to Italy, where she has become a professional artist, teacher, and an important mentor to her students. Themes surrounding social and political issues inform her work, which is very often personal; she uses art as a vehicle to express her sometimes-painful past, and to try to come to terms with some of society´s murky histories. She questions how, in our present moment, we are still able to forge dark - and very often - regrettable experiences.
