He studied violin at the Victorian College of the Arts in Melbourne, Australia. He became interested in Jazz, Blues and traditional music from Ireland and Australia. Joining With fellow Australian musicians he toured extensively around the world promoting Australian tourism. He has performed in front of stadium crowds as opening act for Dire Straits’ Brothers in Arms tour and performed with artists such as Brownie McGee and the Billboard R&B charting Phat Cat Players. After meeting and being inspired by French legend Stephane Grappelli, he moved to Paris, where he performed in jazz clubs and bars. He also toured as featured artist with the Phat Cat Players, a Soul/R&B group. Highlights included concerts at The House of Blues in New Orleans and in Chicago, the Capitol Jazz festival in Washington D.C., and on The Tom Joyner Fantastic Voyage. His Phat Cat backed performance of Ain't no Sunshine was an R&B hit in 2000 and was included on the Atlantic records compilation Rare Requests. He recorded music for the Victor Nunez film Coastlines, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. He now lives in Cambridge MA and performs regularly around Boston and the beautiful South Shore Region.Moira Applebaum is a pianist, vocalist, and multi-instrumentalist originally from Houston who has been in the Boston area for the past 14 years. She loves performing, and she loves sharing her joy of music and of music improvisation with those around her. She spends much of her professional time teaching young students and music directing children’s theatre.Marc Friedman has been playing bass around New England and beyond for 30 years. He has performed and toured with The Slip, Natalie Merchant, Dan Bern, Robert Walters and has currently been the bassist for the Ryan Montbleau band for the past 12 years. Marc studied at the Berklee School of Music for a year. He also runs a modest recording studio out of his house on the south coast of Massachusetts and has been contributing to the YouTube Audio Library for the past 8 years.Scott Kistenburg has been playing the drums for 50+ years with a wide variety of bands and of music.
