Berlin’s renowned artspace The Ballery presents the launch of a new talk series titled “Points of View”, an open forum for critical ideas, creative perspectives, and meaningful public exchange. 

The first edition will take place on Friday, 14 November 2025, from 7:00–9:00 p.m. at The Ballery, under the direction of Simon Williams.

The evening will be hosted by Behaviour Researcher Daniel Alexander, who will open the series with his presentation:
“Leadership in a Demoralized West”

In a time when confidence in leadership and shared values seems to falter, Alexander’s talk examines the philosophical and cultural roots of the West’s current crisis of conviction. 

As he writes:
“Noise erodes character. Morale collapses. Stasis is a lie—it’s growth or stagnation. In this session, we cut through the narratives that have weakened the conviction of Western Civilisation and lay out a practical understanding for leading with vision and will: Diagnose the Zeitgeist, rebuild morale, understand the philosophies that built our current predicaments as well as the values that built our society, or at least what is left of it. Maybe we can rescue it and act in the fog of war and confusion. Some might be ready to move first; I will attempt to show you how it has been done so far.”

The talk begins promptly at 7:30 p.m., with doors open from 7:00 p.m. Visitors are invited to arrive early to enjoy the artwork currently on display at The Ballery and to have a drink from the simple bar available throughout the evening.

After the main presentation, members of the audience will also have the opportunity to share their own “Points of View”—offering reflections, critiques, or short responses inspired by the topic of the evening.

This is a donation-based event, designed to foster open discussion, intellectual exchange, and community engagement in the heart of Schöneberg.
