Join this cozy, hands-on quilting workshop where you’ll learn how to make your own small quilted wall hanging using the timeless Log Cabin or Courthouse Steps design.This class is perfect for beginners— basic sewing machine skills are useful but not needed ! In our small group setting, you’ll learn:How to follow a simple quilt patternDiscuss what types of fabrics would well for quiltingPreparing and cutting your fabricsBasics of hand and machine piecingLayering your quilt with batting and backingHand quilting techniquesHow to attach binding to your finished pieceWe'll also explore the meditative benefits of slow stitching, a mindful and satisfying approach to crafting that brings a sense of calm and connection to your creative process.By the end of the session, you’ll leave with a beautiful mini quilt top ( with some binding &quilting to be finished at home)—and all the skills to begin your own quilting journey.
