Kati Leskinen (Vantaa, b. 1989) creates ink paintings that combine the urban with the timeless visual language of early humankind. Her work reflects influences from street art, comics, and primitive art, forming visual narratives around everyday life and human relationships. About ten years ago, Leskinen discovered her distinctive way of depicting the essence of humanity using only black ink on thick watercolor paper. Through these paintings, viewers can delve deep into human emotions and even acts of cruelty, surrounded by various objects or elements from nature.

The 10th anniversary exhibition includes Leskinen’s first ink work Pilakuva kiusaajasta from 2016 (Bully No. 1), as well as some of her most recent paintings from the past few years.

Kati Leskinen is a candidate member of the Finnish Painters’ Union. Most recently, she completed a residency period in Salzburg, Austria, in June, with a work acquired into the city’s collection, and her works were shown in two group exhibitions, including at Museum der Moderne Salzburg in November 2025.

Die Ausstellung zum 10-jährigen Jubiläum umfasst Leskinens erstes Tuschewerk Pilakuva kiusaajasta aus dem Jahr 2016 (Bully No. 1) sowie einige ihrer neuesten Gemälde aus den letzten Jahren.

Kati Leskinen ist Anwärtermitglied des finnischen Malerverbandes (Finnish Painters’ Union). Zuletzt absolvierte sie im Juni einen Residenzaufenthalt in Salzburg, Österreich, bei dem ein Werk in die Sammlung der Stadt aufgenommen wurde, und ihre Arbeiten wurden in zwei Gruppenausstellungen gezeigt, unter anderem im Museum der Moderne Salzburg im November 2025.
