Then we'll set off on a slow, mostly-silent 30-minute walk across the field, recording whatever catches our attention. No musical or technical background required; if you have a phone, you already have everything you need to start.From there, we'll walk back to Osmos Studio in Schillerkiez to warm up with hot tea and explore some sound collage and compositional tools with our recordings. We'll listen to a few reference points: Steve Reich's phasing technique, and Delia Derbyshire's approach to building structured, architectural pieces out of manipulated recordings.
