Es ist die Überzeugung, dass Kultur dort entsteht, wo Grenzen nicht als Schranken, sondern als Schwellen begriffen werden.Arvo Pärts Musik erfuhr nach seiner Emigration aus dem sowjetisch besetzten Estland und geformt durch sein Leben in Berlin neue künstlerische Impulse. Er bewegt Menschen auf der ganzen Welt in einer Art und Weise, die lauter spricht als viele Worte. Anita Raja hat ihr Leben der Übersetzung von Stimmen gewidmet, die gehört werden müssen: Christa Wolf, Georg Büchner, Ingeborg Bachmann: Werke, die von Widerstand und Erinnerung handeln. Prodromos Tsinikoris gibt in seinen Dokumentartheaterprojekten denjenigen eine Bühne, die in den offiziellen Erzählungen Europas zu oft unsichtbar bleiben: obdachlosen Menschen, migrantischen Arbeiter*innen, den Opfern und Überlebenden nationalsozialistischer Verbrechen.Am 26. It is the conviction that culture arises where borders are understood not as barriers but as thresholds.After emigrating from Soviet-occupied Estonia, Arvo Pärt’s music took on new artistic momentum, shaped by his life in Berlin. He moves people around the world in a way that speaks louder than many words.
