On 12 January 2026 in Berlin, Gesloten Cirkel will lead a two-hour, hands-on workshop on designing custom musical tools and instruments. The session will explore how to build a drum module using Pure Data, Gen~ or RNBO, prototype it on a computer, and then port it to Electrosmith hardware as a standalone device. Full location and programme details will be announced soon.
Who Should Join?
This workshop is perfect for:
Experience with Max/MSP, Ableton Live, or Electrosmith platforms is welcome but absolutely not required—you're encouraged to join whether you use these tools already or want to discover them for the first time.
If you already work with hardware or software, you’ll learn new ways to push it further. If you don’t own any gear yet, this is a chance to try it out, see what's possible and ask questions before investing.
Where will it take place?
We have partnered with the legendary Paloma Club located in the iconic Kotti district of Berlin. The venue is warm and welcoming with a great sound system and drinks. It is very easy to get to as it is across the street from the Kottbusser Tor U-Bahn.
Why Attend?
!!! We value curiosity, experimentation and diversity in all forms. No one is too early or too late to begin.
