Fabiana Striffler - violin, voice, compositions
Carlos Bica - double bass, compositions

Carlos Bica & Fabiana Striffler - An artistic dialogue between two of the most inventive musicians in Europe's music scene.
Double bass player and composer, Carlos Bica, is one of the most prolific and innovative sound artists of Portugal. Known for his lyrical tone on the double bass, Bica has the rare ability to write melodies that essentially are songs without words, haunting and unforgettable. ""Both a remarkable composer and musician who knows how to mix his folkloric, lyrical roots with any modern style he encounters"" (Double Bassist). Among the several musical projects he leads along with various dance, theatre and film projects, his trio AZUL with Frank Möbus and Jim Black has become his showcase as a bass player and composer.
Fabiana Striffler is a musician (violin, vocals, composition) who moves between jazz and avant-folk. In 2025 and 2022 she was nominated for the German Jazz Award for her music, and in 2021 she was awarded the German Jazz Award as part of the Andromeda Mega Express Orchestra. ""Fabiana Striffler is a very talented violinist who plays directly from the heart. Her beautiful sound is a reflection of herself. Fabiana has a unique balance of keen intuition and intellect that allows her to make pure music no matter what creative situation she finds herself in.” (New York, Garry Dial, Grammy “live at the Village Vanguard”)

Mirna Bogdanovic - voice
Kalle Kalima - guitar
Keisuke Matsuno - guitar

This brand-new trio presents a set of original songs inspired by legendary singer-songwriters like Nick Drake, Joni Mitchell, and Bob Dylan.

While drawing from these timeless influences, their music remains unmistakably fresh and original — blending rich lyrical storytelling with textures from electronic music, creative jazz, and indie rock. The songs explore themes such as forgotten corners of our cities and the fragile balance between chaos and calm.

The trio's members are known from numerous acclaimed creative jazz and rock projects, both in Berlin and internationally.
