Darunter befinden sich einmalige Schätze wie das Cembalo aus dem Besitz der Familie Johann Sebastian Bachs, Querflöten von Friedrich dem Großen sowie ein Reisecembalo, das seiner Großmutter, Königin Sophie Charlotte, gehört hat. Zu sehen – und hören – gibt es außerdem Geigen von Stradivari und Guarneri, eine Glasharmonika und eine der größten Kino- und Theaterorgeln Europas. Unser Welcome-Guide steht für Sie bereit, beantwortet Ihre Fragen und spielt für Sie Instrumente an. Our Welcome Guide answers questions and plays instruments live.

There are around 800 historical musical instruments to admire in our museum. These include unique treasures such as the harpsichord that once belonged to the family of Johann Sebastian Bach, flutes belonging to Frederick the Great, and a travelling harpsichord that belonged to his grandmother, Queen Sophie Charlotte. You can also see – and hear – violins by Stradivari and Guarneri, a glass harmonica and one of Europe’s largest cinema and theatre organs. Our Welcome Guide is on hand to answer your questions and play instruments for you. Be inspired by fascinating stories about our collection and its extraordinary exhibits, and discover old and new worlds of sound!
