Archaic Vaults
Archaic Vaults ist ein experimentelles Label für elektronische Musik sowie eine Live-Event-Reihe, die 2020 von Severin Black in London ins Leben gerufen und später nach Berlin verlagert wurde. Seitdem formiert sich eine globale Gemeinschaft um Musik jenseits des Mainstreams.
Tot Onyx
Tot Onyx ist das Soloprojekt von Tommi Tokyo, einer in Tokio geborenen und in Berlin lebenden Klangkünstlerin und Performerin, die gerne mit Metallobjekten und ihrem Körper arbeitet. Sie ist außerdem eine Hälfte des japanischen experimentellen Performance-Duos group A, das von 2012 bis 2020 aktiv war. Die frühe Arbeit der Band, die Erwartungen sowohl live als auch auf Tonträger zu brechen wusste, spiegelt das experimentelle Vokabular wider, das Tommi heute weiter entwickelt. Ihre Praxis ist eine bewusste Absage an Traditionen und Klischees, eine Haltung, die sich – in den Worten von Greil Marcus – durch „die Prinzipien von Negation, Rebellion, Zerstörung und Détournement“ auszeichnet.
Sholto Dobie
Sholto Dobie wurde in Edinburgh geboren und lebt in Vilnius. Er ist Künstler und Kurator, der in verschiedenen klangbezogenen Kontexten arbeitet. Mit einer einzigartigen performativen Sprache schafft er Hörsituationen, die mit dem Zusammenspiel von Umgebung, versammelten Menschen und dem Verlauf der Zeit spielen. Dabei nutzt er unterschiedliche Klangquellen, darunter selbstgebaute Pfeifeninstrumente, Akkordeons und Stimme, die sowohl sein Interesse an Klangphänomenen als auch an traditionellem Instrumentenbau und Folklore widerspiegeln und integrieren.

Tot Onyx
Tot Onyx is the solo alias of Tommi Tokyo, a Tokyo-born and Berlin-based sound artist and performer who loves to work with metal objects and her body. She is one half of Japanese experimental performance duo, group A, which was active from 2012 to 2020. Adept at bending expectations, both live and recorded, the band’s formative early work echoes the experiential vocabulary in which Tommi continues to develop today. A practice in the rejection of tradition and cliché, which in Greil Marcus's words, "share the principles of negation, rebellion, destruction and détournement”.
Sholto Dobie
Sholto Dobie was born in Edinburgh and lives in Vilnius. He is an artist and organiser working across various sound-related contexts. He uses a singular performative language to create listening situations that play with relations between a given environment, gathering of people and unfolding of time. He involves various sound sources including self-made pipe instruments, accordions and voice that both reflect and integrate interests in sonic phenomenon, traditional instrument construction and folklore.
