Over time, practitioners often feel more resilient, centered, and connected — both inwardly and outwardly.

Tickets are sliding scale $10-$25 - Please arrive at least 5-10 minutes early.

 Hiromi will be in Japan February 1-21 but will resume classes when she gets back 

Hiromi Vardy is a certified Zen Shiatsu, Yang style Tai Chi, and Zhineng Qigong healer and practitioner. She first encountered Tai Chi in 1973 while studying theater design and performance art in London. Initially drawn to the beauty of the movements, she soon discovered that the practice had a profound effect on her consciousness, awakening a deep interest in the healing arts.

While collaborating on stage with dancers in London, Hiromi began treating injuries in overworked bodies. In 1976, after a serious accident that resulted in loss of circulation in her leg and concern about possible amputation, she turned to daily Tai Chi practice, self-massage, and treatment from a Japanese acupuncturist. This experience became a turning point in her healing journey and led her back to Japan, where she studied Shiatsu at the Namikoshi School and trained at the Zen Shiatsu Center under Shizuto Masunaga.

After moving to the United States with her family in 1987, Hiromi continued deepening her practice and teaching. During a period of significant stress later in her life, she encountered Master Ming Tong Gu and began studying Zhineng (wisdom healing) Qigong under his guidance, eventually becoming licensed to teach. The healing shift she experienced through this practice was profound and continues to inform her teaching today.

Since 2013, Hiromi has been dedicated to teaching Zhineng Qigong, expanding her offerings to include online classes in 2020. Her work invites students to explore the foundations of Qigong and Tai Chi as embodied, healing practices that cultivate awareness, vitality, and resilience.
