About this Event

Please join us for a special evening celebrating Suellen Primost's Red Thread Journey with her beloveds in Berkeley, California. We'll gather, share memories, break bread, and enjoy an evening of soulful music with musician Muriel Anderson and friends. This intimate MoonDrunk evening will honor Suellen's memory and her beloved community.

6:00-6:30 PM - ARRIVAL

6:30 -7:15 - DINNER

7:15 - 8:00 - SUELLEN MEMORIAL

8:00 - 10:00 - CONCERT/JAM SESSION

The concert is produced in partnership with DhunAnand Foundation, an organization Suellen catalyzed that supports artists who serve the planet. For those of you who can't join us in person, we will offer a live stream of the event, and additional virtual events on her birthday (4/21) and anniversary of her transition (6/27).

On Suellen Primost

Suellen Primost was a seasoned cellist, sound healer, and improviser based in Oakland, California, renowned for her soulful expressiveness and versatility across classical, jazz, and world music genres. With a career spanning over 40 years, she served as the Music Director for the international Artship Ensemble, a cofounder of DhunAnand foundation and collaborated with a diverse array of artists, including new age musician Shivpreet Singh and jazz bassist Kai Eckhardt.

Muriel Anderson is a world-renowned American fingerstyle and harp guitarist, celebrated for her technical mastery and her ability to seamlessly blend genres like classical, bluegrass, jazz, and flamenco. In 1989, she made history as the first woman to win the National Fingerpicking Guitar Championship, and she has since been named one of the top 50 acoustic guitarists of all time by Guitar Player Magazine.

DhunAnand Foundation is a 501 3(c) nonprofit organization that supports artists who are serving the planet. Moondrunk evenings are community gatherings in light of music and poetry. All the profits from Moondrunk events go towards artists who are serving the planet.
