In this first session of the Problem of the Month series, we’ll focus on problem framing — the skill of understanding a problem space before jumping to solutions. Working in small groups, you’ll explore the theme through conversation and structured prompts designed to surface what’s actually going on beneath the surface.
This month we’re focusing on fostering campus sustainability. Rather than trying to “solve” the problem right away, you’ll map different facets of the problem space and notice which angles energize you most. Many participants leave with a clearer sense of which part of the problem feels worth spending time on — and which doesn’t.
This session is ideal if you enjoy asking questions, making sense of complexity, or figuring out where to focus your attention before committing to action. No prior knowledge or preparation is needed — just curiosity and a willingness to explore.
Thursday Nights @ the eHub are a weekly, drop-in practice for figuring things out. Each week, we work on a real problem together — practicing problem-solving, creativity, and judgment with curious, thoughtful people. Come once or make it your Thursday night ritual.
