Do you believe in meditation, but never quite get around to doing it on a regular basis? Consider joining a meditation group. You can learn to see things with more clarity and precision and develop a sense of peace and well-being. You will learn both concentration and relaxation, which are the precursors to awareness and insight. Plus, you will be around other motivated people who believe in meditation. We meet every other week for 45 minutes. Each class includes a 20 min meditation, and study and discussion of well-known meditation teachers.Even if you can't attend every meeting, you are still welcome to join us. This group will help you get focused on something that is really good for you, and it will help you to keep meditation in your life on a daily basis. No previous experience is needed. About the Instructor: Tom White has been teaching a meditation class through the Senior Center Without Walls for 3 ½ years. Many years ago I was trained by well-known meditation teacher, James Baraz. Since then, for the past 13 years, I’ve participated in a bi-weekly training group in which we study the major meditation teachers.
