Heartfelt Crafts: come create handmade gifts!

Need a reason to boycott Back Friday? Come join us at Far Leaves in creating handmade gifts for loved ones (or yourself)!!

Your ticket includes:

• lots of tea
• hands-on class led by Rumi Nguyen to make beaded charms/bracelets and holiday cards
• live music by violinist Kana Luzmoor and cellist Natalie Lin, featuring the music of Ghibli and more!
• ability to purchase Ichigo Ichie’s fresh mochi

All proceeds from this event will directly support our upcoming project called the Kakehashi Project.

The Kakehashi Project is a new commission from Collective Counterpoint for taiko soloist Kohtaro Yamakawa and composer Erika Oba, written for taiko and string orchestra. Premiering in May 2026, the work bridges Japanese drumming traditions with the sound world of Western classical strings, creating a vibrant space for cultural exchange and artistic discovery. The final product will culminate in a community event featuring food vendors, art vendors, and a concert featuring the commission.
