- **Event Description**: Acclaimed jazz guitarist George Cotsirilos returns to The Back Room with his renowned quartet.About this EventA group of accomplished, veteran jazz musicians, the George Cotsirilos Quartet features George Cotsirilos on guitar, Keith Saunders on piano, Robb Fisher on bass and Ron Marabuto on drums. The group’s recent widely acclaimed CD, Refuge, was named by Downbeat magazine as an Editors’ Pick, and as one of the best albums of 2022. Their 2018 CD, Mostly In Blue, received similar praise, was also named by Downbeat as one of the best albums of the year and spent over three months in the top 50 on the national Jazz Weekly radio charts, rising to number 15. Quartet members have performed with such luminaries as Cal Tjader, Carmen McCrae, Etta James, Chet Baker, Tommy Flanagan, Eddie Harris and Joe Lovano, among many others. At The Back Room, the quartet will perform original compositions along with some nuggets from the jazz canon. Tickets are $20 general admission. Children under 12 are free. Advance tickets are available here, or if the show is not sold out, you may purchase your tickets at the door before the show.Doors open one half hour before show time. We accept cash or Venmo only at the door.The Back Room is an all-ages, BYOB (for those 21+) space, dedicated to (mostly) acoustic music of all kinds. You are welcome to bring your own food and beverages. The venue is ADA accessible.
