Berkeley Waterfalls and Walkways
Join Greenbelt Alliance Board member Bob Johnson on an urban adventure to discover waterfalls and cascades in the Berkeley Hills.
We'll also view large volcanic rock outcroppings (some in people’s gardens), the Berkeley Rose Garden, and historic homes as we walk unique pathways winding through quintessential Berkeley neighborhoods.
This is a moderate walk of five to six miles round trip with about 1,000 feet in elevation change.
WEATHER POLICYHeavy rain cancels.
COSTFree, RSVP required.
WHERE TO MEETWe'll assemble at the northeast corner of Shattuck and Hearst Avenues, just a few blocks north of the Downtown Berkeley BART station.
NOTESBring water, lunch, dress in layers (with rain gear if appropriate), and wear good walking shoes. Bring poles if you normally use them. If you have questions about this outing, email Ken Lavin or phone (415) 543-6771 x321.
