- **Event Description**: The Aux Cajunals play kick-ass Cajun-Creole dancehall music, mixed with old-style rhythm & blues.  Led by fiddler-accordionist-vocalist Suzy Thompson, a protege of  Cajun fiddle legend Dewey Balfa, the band also includes fiddler Agi Ban (Midnight Ramblers), guitarist Eric Thompson (Dead Roots Revival), bassist and vocalist Allegra Thompson (Midnight Ramblers) who hosts KPFA’s “Pig In A Pen” radio show, and drummer David Feldthouse.

Suzy and Eric Thompson were founding members of the fondly remembered California Cajun Orchestra, showcasing the beautiful accordion playing of Danny Poullard, with two award-winning albums on the Arhoolie label. The Thompsons have worked with many of Cajun and Creole music’s greatest stars, including Ann Savoy, Michael Doucet, Cedric Watson, D.L. Menard, Steve Riley, David Greeley, Blake Miller, Jesse Lege, Joel Savoy, etc.  Agi Ban has played Cajun and zydeco music since the 1970s, including a stint with Queen Ida.  Allegra Thompson was born into Cajun music and has played bass for Cedric Watson, David Greeley, Ann Savoy and other Cajun greats.  David Feldthouse grew up in a musically rich environment (his dad was Solomon Feldthouse of the pioneering eclectic rock band Kaleidoscope) and has played drums and triangle with the Thompsons for many summers at Sweets Mill music camp.
