The group of diverse creative practitioners we have invited to speak will bring a wooden object that represents their work, and share their material knowledge and how they use specific techniques in woodworking. The seminar will center around craft knowledge and special discoveries in their work and processes. Everyone attending the event is also invited to bring a wooden object that represents their work. At the end of the seminar there will be plenty of time for networking and mingling, where you are invited to briefly introduce yourself and your object. The seminar is free but you need to book tickets. Please let us know in the booking if you have any food restrictions. The reservation is binding. This seminar is one of the ways we support craft artists in our region. In addition this year, we will arrange KraftLaug, a social meeting ground with presentations, around Vestland and Rogaland and develop courses in collaboration with both Kiosken and craft artists. Through our work we wish to establish new collaborations and to enhance knowledge about craft for our members and others. NKVN (Norwegian Association for Craft Artists) is an organisation that works on promoting and supporting contemporary craft artists through influencing the art policies, producing exhibitions, administering art grants, publications, seminars and forums. Kiosken is an interdisciplinary gallery and project space, dedicated to the region's artists, designers and artisans. Through our shop, residency, exhibition program and participation in international exhibitions, we aim to increase the visibility and earning potential of arts, crafts, and design from Vestland. This event is a part of our networking event series that brings together diverse creative practitioners, researchers, businesses, and entrepreneurs to present their work, share knowledge, and develop collaborative opportunities.
