By popular demand, welcome to our extra pruning course.
With his background in forestry, agriculture and working as a chef, Rob has acquired a solid and above-average knowledge of fruit tree pruning. He shares this expertise with you, so that you can prune the trees in your own garden with confidence and without fear of making big mistakes.
What will you learn? You will gain insight into the fruit farmers' best tips and advice for pruning the fruit trees that many of us have in our gardens, but are unsure of how to treat. We will review:
Pruning fruit trees (main focus)
An introduction to pruning and propagating berry bushes
Practical information The course is divided into a theoretical part indoors and a practical part outdoors. Remember to dress according to the weather.
Course leader: Urban farmer Robert Weir is a gardener with a solid agricultural background, and is passionate about making food growing as easy as possible. This courses focus on practical knowledge, without too much complicated theory.

The Urban Farmer in Bergen
The Urban Farmer is part of Lystgården, a center for food and urban agriculture for the entire West Norway. We work to encourage more people to grow a little more of their own food, and collaborate with neighborhoods, businesses, organizations, kindergartens, school gardens, institutions, farms, allotment gardens and people throughout Bergen. Growing not only gives you your own vegetables, it is food security, a richer social life, learning, community and ripple effects in society.
