- **Event Description**: This Midsummer we're very happy to welcome Rick back to Framtidshagen and to gather in our lovely garden. 

Rick introduced the permaculture principles and spent several years caring and growing the garden. A lot of what the garden is today grew from that work and he knows it better than anyone - we’re very excited to learn more from him. Join us for a garden walk where Rick will share stories about the garden's journey over the years, as well as knowledge of our special plants. 


During the day we will: 

Identify the most important perennial plants in the garden and learn about their edibility and other uses. Rick will share what he knows about propagation, pollination and maintenance of the various plants. 

Identify the most common weeds. What can we learn from them - do they have any usage?

A short history of how the garden has changed over the years. Rick will explain why the design of the garden is the way it is, and what mistakes he made and what he learned. 

Digging up and planting. We will relocate some plants and fill up with permaculture plants he brings from his own nursery. 

If you’d like to stay for the whole event or just join part of it, you’re warmly welcome either way! If for only the midsummer dinner you can come from around 6pm. We will eat when the course is finished. We invite everyone that wants to join the dinner to bring some food for sharing.
