Development in the acro practice can be measured in quantity and/or in quality.
Quantity is the more common way, meanwhile, to look at things in Today’s relatively young acro world. The future, in my perspective, will embrace them both, and so will we in the coming workshop.
Behind majority of the practice lie few principles that keep coming back in various forms. Understanding & implementing those principles might take our whole practice a step ahead.
Furthermore, To every posture and transition there are levels of understanding, and levels of implementation. It might be surprising to discover that front bird might become non-trivial, even for experienced practitioners, when made with some changes. It’s useful to understand what a flyer needs in order to be able to find a free side star. Or what a base should do and keep in mind in order to keep his wrists safe while basing f2h. It’s important and kind to give flyers what they need in order to feel safe, and not only for the transition to “work”. It’s also interesting to examine familiar postures & transitions in terms of changing their speed and pace, all towards the magical combination of a powerful yet in ease practice.
Being familiar with various washing machines (for example cork screw, catherine’s wheel and ninja star), low f2h, and inversions.
