People's Community Church
631 North Rocky River Drive, Berea, United States
A community-centered event dedicated to preserving and celebrating the voices, history, and brilliance of Black and Latinx authors.
In a time when books are being challenged, removed, and erased from schools and public spaces, we believe it is more important than ever to protect our stories. Our goal is to create a permanent community library at our church—a safe and accessible space where future generations can freely learn, imagine, and connect with the richness of our culture and heritage.
This event is an opportunity for our community to come together and take action. Whether you donate a book, contribute funds, or simply show up in support, you are helping us build something lasting.
We are accepting:
📚 Book donations (new or gently used) by Black and Latinx authors
💵 Monetary donations to help purchase books and support the library’s growth
🤝 Community support through sharing, spreading the word, and attending
To preserve our history, honor our voices, and ensure that our stories remain accessible—without limits, without erasure, and without borders.
Come be a part of building a library that reflects our truth, our resilience, and our legacy.
✨ Together, we can protect the past, empower the present, and inspire the future.
