# Event Details - **Event Name**: Kentucky Spirits Cabinet - **Event Start and End Date**: Mon, 17 Nov, 2025 at 09:00 am – Sat, 22 Nov, 2025 at 05:00 pm - **Event Description**: Build a Kentucky Spirits Cabinet with Rob Spiece in this six day course.About this EventDates: November17 - 22, 2025Instructor: Rob SpieceCourse Description: Cabinetmaking is a wide and varied discipline and it employs all the skills of a furniture maker. Taking notes from makers like Wharton Esherick and James Krenov, we can elevate a cabinet by putting natural materials in their best light and in paying close attention to how different woodgrain interacts in a whole piece. In this class, we’ll be making a dovetailed case fitted with inset doors and a drawer. Along the way, we’ll use every tool a modern woodshop has to offer. For this exacting work, a router and table saw will get us very close, but we’ll fine tune at the bench with hand tools.I find cabinetmaking to be among the most rewarding work in the shop. It allows you to stretch your skills and consider the material you’re working with.Sourcing and working with figured materialFrame and Panel workResawingDesignUsing knife hingesThrough dovetails with the bandsaw, tablesaw, and by handSide hung drawersMaking shiplap for back panelsRequired Tool List:¼ Trim Router¼ Straight Cutting BitRandom orbital sanderBench Chisels – ¼, 3/8, ½Dovetail SawRabbet or shoulder planeMarking gaugeMarking knifeCombination SquareTape MeasureBench rulerPencilsSafety GlassesHearing protectionL unch provided. Please review our Registration and Cancellation Policies on our Website before registering. https://cdn-az.allevents.in/events10/banners/7e0495f0-1ee1-11f0-be75-f9818eae8902-rimg-w491-h740-dc131111-gmir.jpg https://cdn-az.allevents.in/events4/banners/7e334710-1ee1-11f0-b1a8-95aba4063b67-rimg-w491-h740-dc11100e-gmir.jpg - **Event URL**: https://allevents.in/berea/kentucky-spirits-cabinet/100001325209891459 - **Event Categories**: workshops, kentucky-derby - **Interested Audience**: - total_interested_count: 0 ## Ticket Details - **Ticket Price Range**: min: 1850, max: 1850, currency: USD ## Event venue details - **city**: Berea - **state**: KY - **country**: United States - **location**: The Woodworking School at Pine Croft - **lat**: 37.56252599999999 - **long**: -84.251629 - **full address**: The Woodworking School at Pine Croft, 1865 Big Hill Road, Berea, United States ## Event gallery - **Alt text**: Kentucky Spirits Cabinet - **Image URL**: https://cdn-az.allevents.in/events7/banners/4c652f95d1e41b265053d3a92bdb348151003bd1f83abdfb107f835534128144-rimg-w1000-h1506-dc0f0e09-gmir.jpg?v=1745261439 ## FAQs - **Q**: When and where is Kentucky Spirits Cabinet being held? - **A:** Kentucky Spirits Cabinet takes place on Mon, 17 Nov, 2025 at 09:00 am to Sat, 22 Nov, 2025 at 05:00 pm at The Woodworking School at Pine Croft, 1865 Big Hill Road, Berea, United States. - **Q**: Who is organizing Kentucky Spirits Cabinet? - **A:** Kentucky Spirits Cabinet is organized by The Woodworking School at Pine Croft. - **Q**: Who is this event for? Both Andy and Berea College are dedicated to preserving the fundamental character the school has been known for as we move the school into its next phase.  The Woodworking School at Pine Croft further supports Berea College’s 120-year commitment to the preservation and promotion of craft.\r\nWhile in some ways woodworking is an individual pursuit, there are common traits that connect across makers: a desire to expand our skills, furnish our homes, surround ourselves with the handmade, and join a community of dedicated craftspeople. We believe that craft can both preserve traditions and beauty – and that craft can act as a counterbalance to a disposable and consumer-reliant world. Making is essential to us. We are excited to share a place where students can grow in their skills and fulfill their creative pursuits. Providing opportunities to work with leading instructors who come from diverse backgrounds and have different woodworking perspectives. All are welcome to attend" } ] } ] ```
