Grab your boots and your community spirit and help give nature a fresh start at our Annual Refuge Litter Day! This is your chance to make a visible difference, enjoy the outdoors, and spend a meaningful morning with fellow nature lovers.
We’ll meet at the Refuge Headquarters at 8:00 am to sign in, get a quick rundown, and fuel up with light refreshments generously provided by the Friends of Clarks River. By 8:30 am, we’ll head out together to our cleanup location and get to work restoring the landscape we all care about. Our goal is to wrap up by 12:00 noon, leaving the refuge cleaner, healthier, and happier for wildlife and people alike.
Come prepared to be outside. Dress warmly in layers since movement will heat you up, and rubber boots are strongly encouraged for muddy or wet areas. Wearing hunter orange or bright colors helps with visibility, and we’ll have safety vests available if you need one.
Whether you’re a seasoned volunteer or brand new, your help matters. A few hours of your time can make a lasting impact on the refuge and its wildlife.
