The second annual I57 Drag and drive is a 1/8th mile drag racing event that Takes place September 4th-6th of 2026. Once the car arrives/ is unloaded at the I57 Dragstrip on day one september the 4th (friday) It must make all passes and the full drive under its own power. You may only use the tools and supplies you can fit in the vehicle. A pull behind trailer for the car racing is allowed. A follow vehicle is only permitted if it has no tools or supplies for the racer and is only following in the situation of a drop out and the driver needs to get there truck and trailer. Cars in the event must meet all Tech requirements at each track.Make sure you can pass before you show up. You will go through and pass tech. The car racing must be plated and insured. Driver must have a valid license. The entry for the tech card at each track is as follows. 30 dollars at The I57 Dragstrip and 30 dollars at washbash valley dragway. 15 dollars a person if spectating

Stick shift must be H pattern and have a foot activated clutch.
Tailgate/wagon is any vehicle that has a tailgate or a hatch in the rear. A truck, SUV, station wagon etc.
This Event will be ran as standard drag and drive rules. Each day for each class (excluding Unlimited) the driver will make as many passes as possible and turn in the best slip ( time they think they can get closest to recreating throughout the event) at the end of the event the slips will be added up and averaged. Whoever has the closest average to the class they enterd will be the winner. Unlimited will not run off a average for the event but whoever turns in the fastest pass of the event. You will have 3 days and as many runs as possible to make that pass.
Example for index classes - if you are in 5.50 index and you turn in day 1 a 5.58 day 2 a 5.56 and day 3 a 5.52 you would have a end time of 5.55. If no one has a better average you would be the event winner for that class.
For DYO, Tailgate/wagon and Stick shift rules are the same however YOU set the index for yourself on day one after your passes. You will pick the slip you think you can recreate and turn that in.

Cars are loaded up in the evening at The I57 dragstrip after racing is done on sunday the 6th. winners will be announced that day. if a winner leaves before the announcement is made they will be called. All winners and event updates will be posted on the Facebook event page
This is geared to be a entry level drag and drive and a FUN first event. Low stakes and low pressure come enter and have a good time racing with us!
