Wines of the World- Community Ed, wine production, wine tastings


Enjoy a guided tasting each Monday evening through the major wine producing regions of the world with Lake Michigan College Director of Wine and Viticulture, Michael Moyer.  A one time $350 course pays for all 14 classes. Space is limited.

This course runs concurrently with the credit course, Wines of the World. This course is an overview of the major wine making regions of the world. Students will develop sensory skills through guided tastings. Lectures will focus on grape varieties, climactic considerations, vineyard and winemaking practices, and key laws governing wine production and labeling. Wines from southwest Michigan and other new world wine regions are also presented. 

Please note the format of this course as a non-credit, personal enrichment opportunity. This course can not be used for credit (or degree seeking students) in this format now, or anytime in the future.
