Sacred Ground: Rooted in Nature, Rising in Spirit is a collaborative photography exhibition by Tibby Lerner and Elizabeth Denton exploring the sacred relationship between land, body, and transformation. Grounded in a shared reverence for nature and a belief in universal connection, their distinct photographic practices meet in a contemplative space where spirit, earth, and creative evolution intertwine.
Tibby Lerner’s connection to nature is a core principle in both her life and her photography. She believes that all life is connected in an indefinable way, guiding her presence in the world and her creative process. Her work ranges from simple, minimally edited images that evoke deep reflection to layered compositions that amplify visual impact and meaning. As Lerner shares, “Sacred Ground is a tribute to my evolution as an artist and my belief in universal harmony.”
Elizabeth Denton’s images emerged from visions received during a sound bowl journey, incorporating her ceramic sculptures to honor embodiment, self-connection, and the body as sacred ground. Created at a powerful threshold of transformation, her work celebrates this passage as a time of rising creativity, inner fire, and renewal. Reflecting on the series, Denton says, “This current series is one that’s deeply personal and has transcended my art practice.”
Together, their photographs invite viewers to step onto sacred ground, to witness transformation as both personal and universal, and to immerse themselves in a space where land, body, and spirit converge—an experience that lingers long after leaving the gallery.
