Loose Watercolor Floral Workshop
Brief description about the workshop:
In this workshop, the host will walk through the basic color composition and brush strokes using watercolor necessary to make botanical paintings.
The host will walk you through the basics of watercolor painting including different techniques and strokes such as
1) Wet on Wet Technique
2) Wet on Dry technique
3) Dry on Dry technique
You will learn to use brush strokes to make various kinds of leaves and flowers. Workshop attendees will learn to draw botanicals using real botanicals as reference.
The workshop will also cover painting of a floral wreath which can be used as a frame or a greeting card for a loved one. At the end of the workshop, one will take home a painting of floral composition made referring real flowers and a floral wreath
Brief description about the artist:
Vindhya is an Engineer by profession who has been a hobby artist since her childhood. She works mostly with Watercolor, gouache and Acrylic paints with a love towards botanical and landscape illustration. She also designs custom invitation for special occasions. She enjoys teaching and teaches watercolor techniques in her free time to children. She is currently working on making a collection of seascape and hopes to have an exhibition for the same.
Brief description about the art form:
Loose style of painting is a way of illustrating the subject with big bold strokes based on visualization without going into precise details. It allows an artist to capture his/her perception quickly and the loose strokes bring out a vibrant illustration of any subject
