Exhibition dates 26 June until 31 August
Exhibition is upstairs at the back of the Library in glass display cases, accessible by lift. (Open during Library hours)

Heidi Everett is a multimedia artist, published writer, musician, arts producer, performer and mental health advocate. She is Founder of Schizy Inc (pronounced 'skitzy ink'), a Melbourne Naarm based arts organisation for creative people with complex mental health like schizophrenia, bipolar, depression and everything else that usually stems from complex trauma. 

Heidi's pioneering work in mental health disability advocacy has been recognised with a Victorian Government Disability Award, the Victorian Mental Illness Council Human Rights award and the Wellways Community award. 

Her memoir 'My Friend Fox' published by Ultimo Press, is an exhilarating portrayal of complex mental health mirroring the challenged spirit of a fox living in Australia. Heidi's favourite book of all time is 'The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe' which, she says, turns out to have uncanny parallels to her own life in the mental health system.

Heidi is currently working on Lost Women, a film about older woman with schizophrenia now re-identifying as autistic, and Subtle Roar, sensory friendly punk and theatre about homelessness which has just been selected for an opera mentorship.
