“Billabongs not Silos” – Education and Wellbeing Keynote Event
Join us for an evening exploring how education and health can work hand-in-hand to create stronger, healthier futures for First Nations youth.
Hosted at the DJAARA Corporate and Community Centre, the event will bring together educators, health professionals, and community leaders to share knowledge, inspire collaboration, and celebrate strength-based approaches to wellbeing.
Keynote Speaker:
Dr Jill Gallagher AO – A proud Gunditjmara woman and CEO of the Victorian Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (VACCHO).
With over two decades of leadership in Aboriginal health, she has grown VACCHO into a powerhouse supporting more than 30 Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations across Victoria.
Respected for her bold advocacy, deep Cultural knowledge, and unwavering commitment to Community, Jill has been recognised with numerous accolades, including the Order of Australia and induction into both the Victorian Aboriginal Honour Roll and the Victorian Honour Roll of Women.
The evening will feature a keynote address, Q&A session, and an opportunity to connect with others over catered refreshments.
