In this hands-on class, you’ll turn a simple block of wood into something beautiful and useful, all while learning to safely operate the lathe from start to finish. You’ll mount your wood blank, shape and smooth it, then sand and finish it to a warm, polished glow.

Projects vary by session and may include bottle openers, bud vases, candlestick holders, or other handcrafted treasures—perfect to give as thoughtful handmade gifts (or to keep for yourself, we won’t tell ?). Along the way, you’ll gain confidence using the spindle roughing gouge and carbide-tip scrapers while learning key safety and setup techniques.

By the end of class, you’ll earn your DIYcave Lathe Certification and be ready to create your own turned masterpieces—just in time for the holiday gift-making season!
